With its high efficiency, energy saving, environmental protection and flexible operation, the disk dryer is widely used in many industrial fields, and its scope of application can be summarized as follows:

1. Chemical industry
Organic chemical products: such as polyvinyl alcohol, polyacrylamide, organic pigments, dye intermediates, catalysts and so on. These materials are sensitive to temperature, and the low-temperature conduction heating method of disk dryer can avoid thermal decomposition or deterioration.
Inorganic chemical products: such as calcium carbonate, aluminum hydroxide, barium carbonate, sodium sulfate and so on. Its high heat transfer efficiency can quickly remove water of crystallization or free water while reducing dust entrainment.
Fine chemicals: such as pharmaceutical intermediates, pesticide raw materials, surfactants and so on. Through layered temperature control, the drying temperature and time can be precisely controlled to ensure product quality stability.

2. Food and feed industry
Food additives: such as starch syrup, lactose, maltodextrin, flavors and fragrances. The airtight structure of the disk dryer can prevent microbial contamination and meet the hygiene requirements of food grade.
Dehydrated foodstuffs: such as vegetable powder, fruit powder, instant tea powder, etc. Low air velocity design can avoid material weathering or loss of nutrients.
Feed materials: such as fish meal, bone meal, yeast powder, etc.. Its uniform drying characteristics can ensure the consistency of the moisture content of the product and prevent mold.

3. Pharmaceutical industry
Drying of raw materials: such as antibiotics, vitamins, traditional Chinese medicine extracts and so on. Disc dryer can realize low temperature drying (≤80℃) to avoid inactivation of active ingredients.
Preparation intermediates: such as granules, tablets precursors, etc.. By adjusting the number of layers and rotating speed of the drying disk, the residence time of the material can be precisely controlled to ensure uniform particle size distribution.
Biological products: e.g. enzyme preparations, probiotics, etc. Its no-dust-leakage design can meet the requirements of clean room and prevent cross contamination.

4. Environmental protection and resource recovery
Sludge treatment: such as municipal sludge, printing and dyeing sludge, electroplating sludge, etc. Through layered heating and forced mixing, the water content can be reduced from 80% to less than 30% to realize the reduction.
Waste slag recycling: such as salt sludge, phosphogypsum, calcium carbide slag, etc. Its corrosion-resistant material (e.g. 316L stainless steel) can be adapted to high salt, acid and alkali environments.
Hazardous waste disposal: such as mercury-containing slag, arsenic-containing waste, etc. The airtight operation and negative pressure ventilation system can prevent the volatilization of toxic substances and ensure that the environmental protection meets the standard.

5. New materials and new energy
Lithium materials: such as lithium iron phosphate, ternary material precursor, etc. Disc dryer can realize low oxygen environment (≤1% O₂) drying to prevent material oxidation.
Graphene: its layered structure is easy to agglomerate, and the low shear stirring of the disk dryer can maintain material dispersion.
Aerogel: the aerogel after supercritical drying needs low temperature dehydration, and the disk dryer can precisely control the temperature gradient to avoid the collapse of pore structure.

6. Other special applications
Flammable and explosive materials: such as nitrocellulose, aluminum powder, etc.. The risk of explosion can be eliminated by nitrogen protection or vacuum operation.
High viscosity materials: e.g. resin, asphalt, molasses, etc. Its forced stirring and thin-layer drying characteristics can prevent materials from sticking to the wall.
High-value materials: e.g. precious metal catalysts, rare earth oxides. Its low loss rate (≤0.1%) maximizes recovery.
