The paddle dryer needs to pay attention to the following safety matters during operation:

Preparation and inspection before operation:
Make sure that all parts of the equipment are intact and the connection bolts are not loose, especially the connection between the paddle and the shaft and whether the sealing parts are well sealed.
Check the transmission device to ensure that the reducer, motor, etc. are running normally and the belt or chain is at the right tightness.
Check the heating system, such as steam pipes, valves are normal, there is no leakage, steam pressure is in line with the requirements. If other heating methods are used, such as thermal oil heating, check the corresponding system as well.
Check whether the feeding device and discharging device are smooth and free from blockage.
Open the cooling water pipeline, check whether the cooling water supply is normal, whether the water pressure and temperature meet the requirements, and whether there is any leakage in the cooling water pipeline.
Carry out no-load test run on the equipment, check the operation of the equipment, including whether the rotation direction of the paddle is correct, whether there is any abnormal noise and vibration.

Safety matters during operation:
The operator must wear good working clothes and protective gears, such as gloves, goggles, etc., to prevent burns or mechanical injuries.
It is strictly prohibited to put hands inside the dryer to avoid accidents.
When the dryer is running, it is not allowed to disassemble or replace the equipment parts at will so as not to affect the normal operation of the equipment.
After adjusted by the commissioning personnel, the equipment user shall not change the position of the adjusting mechanism at will to ensure stable operation of the equipment.
Often observe whether the current is within the rated value of the motor, otherwise the cause should be immediately identified and resolved to prevent motor overload.
Pay close attention to the drying condition of the material and the operating parameters of the equipment, such as temperature, pressure, current, etc., to ensure that they are within the normal range.
Pay special attention to the temperature of the bearing body should not be higher than 70℃, and high quality grease can be added at the right time. For the bearing body and shaft seal packing at the cooling device should be equipped with cooling water volume should be adjusted.


Material control and safety:
For different materials, attention should be paid to control the feeding speed to ensure smooth operation, especially not to force a large amount of material added.
The materials should be avoided with hard debris to prevent jamming or damage to the mixing blades, resulting in equipment damage.
It is strictly prohibited to clip lumpy hard materials in the wet materials to prevent lumpy hard materials from getting stuck between the hollow blade dryer blade and the cylinder, damaging the blade or the cylinder and causing equipment damage and air leakage accidents.

Shutdown and maintenance safety:
When stopping the machine, the material inside the machine should be cleaned up, or turn on the cold water to spray water on the material inside the double paddle dryer, to avoid the material from slating inside the dryer.
After each shutdown shall not immediately stop the induced draft fan, must open the dryer inlet and cold air valve, cooling, temperature down to the specified value before stopping the induced draft fan.
When stopping the machine for cleaning or overhauling, the power must be cut off and the sign must be hung up, and the internal temperature must be reduced to below the limit of human body's tolerance before the operation inside the cylinder, and the replacement ventilation inside must be done well.

Fire and explosion safety:
Heat conduction oil is a high temperature, permeability of the flammable material, the operator in the operation center must wear protective gear. Switching valves should be light, slow, head not directly to the valve plate; system operation, please do not directly touch the valves, the body, so as to avoid burns and scalds.
Heat conduction oil drying system site should be equipped with sufficient fire-fighting equipment, fire-fighting equipment should be frequently checked to keep it in good condition.
Remove the oil and dirt produced by the equipment and foundation in time, and prohibit the flammable materials and open flames from approaching the lubrication parts of the dryer motor, reducer, gear ring, wheel belt, etc. to prevent fire accidents.
